Industrial organic synthesis is time and energy consuming, generates substantial waste. Traditional conductive heating mixing in batch reactors no longer competitive with continuous-flow synthetic methods enabling technologies that can strongly promote reaction kinetics. These advances lead to faster simplified downstream processes easier workup, purification process scale-up. In the current Industry 4.0 revolution, new are based on cyber-physical systems artificial intelligence will be able optimize invigorate by connecting cascade continuous in-line monitoring even predict solutions case of unforeseen events. Alternative sources, such as dielectric ohmic heating, ultrasound, hydrodynamic cavitation, reactive extruders plasma have revolutionized standard procedures. So-called hybrid or hyphenated techniques, where combination two different sources often synergistic effects, also worthy mention. Herein, we report our consolidated experience all these alternative techniques.
